Real Close

Real Close, the album is scheduled for releasse March 15, 2024. In describing the album, Rodney calls it "organic" and somewhat different from traditional Contemporary Smooth Jazz in that infuses some old school feel. The album also includes the previously released singles Real Close feat. Jackiem Joyner and No Stoppin', boh of which charted on several Smooth Jazz Charts. The album includes new music with one scheduled for radio release in July 2023 and is appropriately ttiled Summer Madness in which Rodney's puts his unique flavor on. The album features several stellar artists including #1Bill Board charting recording artist Jackiem Joyner - Saxophone (Real Close), #1 Bill Board Charting recording artist Mo Louis Saxophone (Let Your Love Light Shine), Steve Alanis - Saxophone (No Stoppin). Mark Drummon - Lead/Rhythm Guitar, (No Stoppin, Let Your Love Light Shine, Summer Madness), Daniel Nelson - Keyboards (Summer Madness), and Darrell Crooks - Guitar (Real Close feat. Jackiem Joyner). I must also mention my brother and friend Lew Laing, Mix Engineer (Real Close, No Stoppin") who put his magical touch on every track he produces. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart and I look forward to this long awaited release!

Paul Russel, radio Host of the Soul of London Radio station whose broadcasts originates in the UK has been spinning Rodney's new single release ("Real Close feat. Jackiem Joyner). Paul commented in talking with Rodney that.".. his new single is becoming a favorite spin on the show". DJ CD of Ultimate Entertainment who hosts the Central Time Smooth Jazz radio show commented that "Rodney Greene is definitely one to watch" with regards to Rodney's latest release "Real Close"

Music, A universal language book

Songs, both instrumental as well as those with lyrics are likened to books. Like books, music can tell a story either lyrically or musically (or both) and can take one on an emotional journey including a whole range of feelings like happiness. sadmess. joy, and pain. No matter our background, ethicity, or religeous beliefs, music over the ages has been used as a form of conmmunication with people of all walks of life and can be considered a universal lanaguage book. It would be my hope that the music created and released by GreeneSteet Records would provide music that is universal bringing us all together in the spirit of love, peace, and harmony.
